Not less than 50 passengers were killed in an head collision between two buses on Ghana’s Tamale-Kintampo Highway.
The accident occurred in Amoma, a village near Kintampo in the Kintampo North Municipality of the Bono East Region of the country.
Eyewitness say a Kia bus traveling towards Kumasi collided with a Grandbird bus that was heading towards Bolgantaga.
Report says the cause of the collision was that one of the drivers might have been dozing off while driving and a result, the bus veered into the lane of traffic headed in the opposite direction.
Police are at the scene and bodies of the victims have been evacuated.
