Residents and business owners at Fanibi, Ajipowo/Ogundipe, Oke-ogba and Ondo road in Akure have expressed displeasure over poor electricity supply to their areas in the last one month.
Those who spoke in an interview described a situation where power was only supplied for just less than an hour a day as horrible and extortion of consumers especially those placed on estimated bills.
Two of the residents, Mr Ajayi Ilesanmi and Yomi Adedeji said the situation had actually grounded socio-economic activities in the areas.
A trader at Customs area, Ondo road , Mrs Tayo Oloruntoba recounted how she spent more money to fuel generator in the last one month due to the epileptic power supply.
The people urged BEDC to improve their service delivery to Fanibi, Ajipowo/Ogundipe, Oke-ogba and Ondo road in Akure to save them from untold hardship.
