Bisi Egbeyemi presenting cash to one of the beneficiaries
19 victims of fire disaster across the 16 local government areas of Ekiti State have received over two million naira as financial assistance from the state government.
Beneficiaries received one hundred and twenty naira cash each as relief for their loss.
Presenting the cash on Thursday in Ado Ekiti,the Deputy Governor, Bisi Egbeyemi, sympathized with them on the loss of their properties.
He promised that the Kayode Fayemi administration would continue to prioritize the welfare of people in the state.
Egbeyemi urged residents of the state to be more careful in handling electrical appliances and prevent anything that could cause fire
outbreak in their areas.
The General Manager, Ekiti State Emergency Management Agency, Mr. Olajide Borode, observed that the gesture
was aimed at bringing succour to the people.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Chief Johnson Ogunleye, from Iroko Ekiti in Ijero Local Government Area, appreciated the state government for the gesture which he described as very timely.
