The ongoing Senior Secondary School 2 and the Basic Education Certificate Examinations,BECE, for Junior Secondary School 3 students in Ondo state seem to be faced with more complicated challenges due to poor preparation by the ministry of Education.
ROVING REPORTS who has been monitoring the exams in Akure observed on Friday that questions papers provided for the affected students were not sufficient during the exams.
Some of the students also told ROVING REPORTERS that they had to share question papers during the exams which was not convenient.
“ They told us to share question papers because it can not go round. ”
A teacher who claimed anonymity said “ it is disheartening that the students have to be made to write in that kind of atmosphere.
This are the students that paid between #1,500 and #2000 for the exams. Will the ministry claim they don’t know the number of students that paid for the exams before coming up with the flimsy excuse ?
That was one of the factors responsible for the hitches being faced even before the exams.
I want to believe that the governor will look into this eye saw and address it because it is a set back in the education sector that students share exam papers inside the hall.”
