Ekiti state government has warned school Principals and Head Teachers against undermining the executive order which abolished the levies imposed on public primary and secondary schools by the immediate past government.

Governor Kayode Fayemi who gave the warning at a meeting with schools authorities in Ado Ekiti expressed displeasure that some heads of schools were still engaging in acts that could affect the free education policy of government..

The Governor who noted that the meeting became imparative due to the feedback he got from some quarters that some schools still impose such levies on their pupils inspite of government pronouncement.

He said government would put in place modalities to assist in the enforcement of the executive order in public schools across the state to further achieve a desireable understanding between schools,parents and governmnet.

Governor Fayemi charged them to do the needful and desist from sabotaging the effort of govt which was aimed at improving the education sector in the state

The Chairman of All Nigerian Conference of Principals of Secondary Schools ANCOPPS, Mr.Biodun Omotosho promised that they would assist the state governmnet in its quest to change the face of the education sector.

Governor Fayemi had last week released one hundred and eight million naira to public primary and secondary schools as grants for the three terms in the 2018/2019 academic session.
