Five man committee set up by governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state to investigate factors that led to the crisis that erupted at Oba Akoko during the house of assembly election in march this year, has blamed politicians for failing to do the needful.
It however recommended to the state government to come up with reconciliation move to resolve lingering electoral crisis at Oba akoko community.
This was part of the recommendations that the five man committee on the Oba akoko crisis led by its chairman, Dr Femi Awani stated while submitting the committee’s report to governor Akeredolu in his office at alagbaka ,akure .
According to Dr Femi Awani, the election remained peaceful until evacuation of voting materials from the Ose /Oba end to the registration centre at Oba akoko.
He added that the crisis would have been averted if political actors in the area had played the game according to the rules.
In a remark, governor Akeredolu thanked the committee and promised to consider its report in the interest of all parties involved in the Crisis.
The Governor promised sustainable peaceful atmosphere for all communities across the state.
