Oluboyo and Mimiko

A State High court sitting in Akure on Wednesday dismissed a case filed by a former Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Lasisi Oluboyo, against the state government over his unpaid pension arrears and other emoluments.

Oluboyo was a deputy to former governor Olusegun Mimiko.

In his judgment, Justice Bode Adegbehingbe, held that the former Deputy Governor’s case could not be heard in the state High court and that the court lacked the jurisdiction to decide the suit.

The judge therefore advised Oluboyo to take the case to the National Industrial Court which has the jurisdiction.

Alhaji Ali Olanusi has been enjoying the benefits of an ex-deputy governor after a court crushed his impeachment but Oluboyo had been denied the emoluments.
