Former minister of aviation, Femi Fani- Kayode has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to listen to many Nigerians who have been kicking against the federal government’s proposed RUGA farm settlements before it goes out of hand.
The proposed RUGA settlements seems to have died on arrival as Nigerians have been reacting against such idea.
Just on Tuesday ,Nobel Laureate, Prof Wole Soyinka, warned the Federal Government against the proposed establishment of Ruga settlements across the country for herdsmen.
He warned that the move, if not checked will set the country on fire.
According to him: “RUGA is going to be an explosion if not handled with care.
On His twitter post on Wednesday, Fani- Kayode asked president Buhari to listen to advice of his friends against plans to ‘fulanise’ the country.
He said “Three of @MBuhari’s old friends have warned him about the dangers of Fulanisation,Islamisation and RUGA: OBJ, Kongi and T.Y. Danjuma.
I pray he listens before it is too late and the whole place explodes.
Right now he is planting the seeds of war and that is painful and tragic…1/
If you insist on sending your cow-loving terrorist herdsmen to the south with their accursed, charmed cows in the name of RUGA,we shall insist on sending millions of pig-loving militants and maggot-infested plagued pigs to the north. You do me, I do you! You RUGA me, I PUGA you. ” Fani- Kayode said.
