One of the farmers, Gbenga Akinpelumi attacked during a communal clash that occurred in Araromi Obu in the Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State, has reportedly died.
Fighting broke out on Tuesday between residents of Araromi Obu and the Ikale over a land dispute.
ROVING REPORTERS reliably gathered that Akinpelumi was among other injured victims rushed to the Ondo State Trauma And Surgical Center, Ondo Town after being shot .
He was said to have been ambushed as gun bullets penetrated his abdomen and ruptured his spleen and intestines.
Akinpelumi did not survive series of surgeries carried out on him as he passed on at exactly 12:48 am on Thursday while his bodies had been deposited at the morgue.

A source told ROVING REPORTERS that the other victim was still at the hospital receiving treatment.
It was gathered that the land dispute between Ikale and Araromi Obu had been on for a long time and the matter had been taken to court.
Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has also waded into the crisis with the aim of restoring peace to the affected areas .
On Tuesday, the Chairman, Araromi Obu Development Committee, Mr Bisoye Monebi, alleged that the Ikale invaded his community on Tuesday and looted the residents’ farm produce and drove away many people from their farmlands.
He said the development nearly led to a bloodbath, adding, “It was the maturity of the community heads and the intervention of the men of the state police command that brought the situation under control.”
The state Police Public Relations Officers, Femi Joseph, who confirmed the incident, said policemen had been drafted to the scene and the situation had been brought under control.
“We have brought the situation under control and normalcy has returned to the community, while investigation has commenced,” Joseph stated.
